And It Begins...

And It Begins...
Originally uploaded by James Wadsworth
In Episode #53 of LAMLradio, Matt Forcum and Mike Huffman join James Wadsworth to talk about the recent LEGO news. We also interview Heather (aka LEGOgirl on Flickr) about her latest MOC, the dollhouse. Of the news topics the #7979 Castle Advent Calendar gets the most discussion.

I haven't promoted LAMLradio here enough; if you haven't listened to it, go check it out now! James manages to get some really great interviews & great people on the show, that I find his podcasts very fun to listen to. And to support James, please buy his CD that includes all 27 episodes that were released on the podcast in August 2008, only $12USD.

10 Year Anniversary

So last weekend, I was asked to join James Wadsworth and Tim Courtney on LAML radio episode #43 to talk about LUGNET...

It was a good show... and it's got me thinking... and then I realized that I've been with the on-line LEGO fan community for 10 years now. My anniversary was Feb. 16th, 1998, the date of my first rec.toys.lego post. Pirate LEGO was being clearanced out at my local TRU & offered to buy sets for anyone looking. Steve Jackson ended up taking me up on my offer...

LAMLradio #20: LEGO News for February 10th

You can now download episode 20 from the LAMLradio podcast... James did a great job of editing. My only regret, we also talked about LEGO bringing back another theme, Wild West. There's some good and bad to reviving that theme -- Indians, Civil war or Union troops -- but there also so much more LEGO could do with that theme, like Zorro (or Spanish/Mexican influenced architecture), steam trains, & ghost towns. Maybe it might come up in another LAMLradio episode.

LAMLradio: LEGO Talk Podcast

A few days ago, I was asked by James Wadsworth to participate in a episode of LAMLradio -- I had a blast. It was a little rough starting out, but after a few minutes, it was like doing BrickNebula all over again. :) I won't spoil the show -- you'll have to listen to it yourself -- but James, Andrew (news editor at BZPower) and myself talk about some fun topics... I just hope I don't embarrass myself too much.

The episode is not up yet, but it should be in the next few days, so look for it.

As a FYI, I updated the BrickNebula web-site today -- added some color to it (it was spammed to death over a year ago, so Dave turned it into a no frills web-site; I'm glad that he did) and added a flash MP3 player. After doing the episode of LAMLradio, I'm excited about doing another BrickNebula podcast sometime soon. Assuming Dave and I can find the time, we might try to put another one together soon -- there's been a lot happened since our last podcast.
